General Note
Partial collection of a total of 800 plates published by The New York Botanical Garden in the journal Addisonia. Most are by M.E. Eaton who also signed her name Mary Emily Eaton. Other artists represented are Margaret Sorenson, Frances W. Horne, F. Griffith, and J.M. Salizar. Two are unsigned.
General Note
Condition: Some discoloration. Pl. 310, tear on bottom right; pl. 404, discolored right edge and small chips in right and bottom edges; pl. 460, torn top right corner; pl. 472 and 524, chips on top right edge; pl. 592, tear on center right edge; pl. 722, bottom left corner missing; pl. 634, removed from book and spot on top left; pl. 636, removed from book and dirt spots on reverse; pl. 661 smudges on left center.
Description
Color reproductions of various plants on white paper. View of full plant or stem, showing leaves, flowers, buds, fruit, bulbs, etc. Some have enlargements of smaller parts and some have black and white drawings at the side. Many images have numbers adjacent to plant parts which correspond to a key in the related article in Addisonia.
