Every episode features unique places, people, and music, all selected to foster a feeling of nostalgia toward the parts of life often forgotten. Visitors tour Mission San Juan Capistrano throughout the year but interest peaks each March, the time legend and song say that the swallows return in Cover Story. In the Scenic America installment, the vantage point is The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge on Maryland's eastern shore to take in the scenery and wildlife of Chesapeake Bay. A journey to the Cleveland Accordion Musuem has over 400 accordions and thousands of pieces of sheet music for On A Musical Note. The Time Capsule looks back on the origins of the jukebox and Off the beaten path goes to Stearns, Kentucky where coal mining camps once dotted the landscape. These days, The Big (South) Fork Scenic Railway carries tourists who enjoy the region's beauty and history. As a seasonal feature, nowhere do flowers say spring more than in the lovely Flower Fields of Carlsbad, California where fifty acres of hillside erupt in an eye-catching array of colors.
