Description
A father and son, both over- and under-age for the army, are conscripted during World War One into one of Latvia's first national battalions. At first thrilled, the young soldier is soon brought to reality as shells burst around them in the endless mud, lives in constant jeopardy, and he finds himself growing up far too quickly.
