Description
"When a blackmailer suddenly appears in her dressing room and threatens to expose her dark past, London stage star Stella Parish goes into hiding, boarding a ship for the States. Turning up at a New York hotel with her six-year-old daughter in tow. Stella is befriended by Keith Lockridge, a stranger she met on the boat. Hoping to keep the truth from her child, Stella confides her secret to Keith, unaware he's a reporter who's out for the story and about to betray the woman who loves him"--Container.
