Description
When Chief Inspector Tanner arrives at the house of Lord and Lady Lebanon to investigate the murder of their chauffeur, he quickly notices a lot of strange things about the household; when a priceless Buddhist artefact is stolen from a Japanese temple, a popular radio personality accidentally becomes involved in the case; a gambler falls in love with a young woman and believes she is bringing him luck, but his gambling rival also becomes interested in her; follows a family struggling to put their lives back together after their eldest son is executed for murder; a private detective works on a case involving a stolen secret formula and a kidnapped girl.
