John lives in London, on the banks of the River Thames. When his father, Captain Lemuel Gulliver, returns from his long journeys, he speaks to him of remote lands governed by chattering horses, of men who never grow old or die, of gigantic cows that can feed armies, of spider silks stronger than the ropes of the boats. One day, eager to see these wonders with his own eyes, and tired of waiting for his father to take him on one of his trips, John embarks on his search.
