Description
Yamashita's quiet country life is fatally changed when he finds out about his wife's affair and murders her. On parole after eight years in prison, he returns to his sleepy hometown to open a small barber shop. His only solace is an eel that he keeps as a pet until, as a favor to the town's priest, he agrees to help a young woman with a troubled past.
