Description
With the desire to improve their lives, the men of Huajuan de Leon emigrate without realizing that they are destroying that which they want to save; their families. This is the story of Diamantina and Araceli, two young women from the Oaxacan Mixtec who watch their men, Santiago and Macario, leave for the north in search of a better life. A generational story about patriarchal society, the power of community and family and the role of women who become the head of the family.
