Description
The Buddha's discourses as recorded in the Pali Canon contain many references to the value of santi, or peace, at both the personal and social levels. The extracts have been selected with the aim of covering the whole range of references to peace in the Pali discourses, from the individual's inner mental state, through everyday social actions, to social and governmental levels. The extracts are linked by discussions and comments aimed at clarifying the practical implications of the Buddha's teachings.
