Horn Book Review
These books give readers a tour inside an Egyptian tomb and a Roman villa. Looking at different features of the spaces and at objects found within, the flat, fact-filled texts compete for attention with color photographs, uninspired drawings, captions, and quotations. The books' busy design and random organization overwhelm more than inform. Bib., glos., ind. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
