Description
Two Ocean War by Samuel Eliot Morison is a one volume abridgement of Morison's 15 volume History of United States Naval Operations in World War II. What makes Two Ocean War a particularly interesting book is Morison's contemporaneous access to the major players in the US Navy during the war. "This book has been written in the hope of bringing the exploits of the United States Navy in World War II to the attention of new readers. I have not attempted a uniform condensation of the fifteen previous volumes I have written, but rather to select the most important battles and campaigns."
