"Deep in the heart of South America, where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay collide, lies one of the most spectacular geographical secrets of the natural world, a place forged from the explosive clashing of the earth's tectonic plates. Over three miles long and 300 feet high, Iguaçu is the greatest waterfall on earth. Five times the size of Niagara, some 2000 tons of water pour over its 300 cascades each second. These awesome falls are also home to one of the richest habitats on earth: 2000 species of plants, 450 species of birds, 50 different mammals and more reptiles and insects than anyone has been able to count"--Container.
