Description
Banjo trailblazer Béla Fleck undergoes his most challenging musical journey so far, into the world of the symphony orchestra. Commissioned to compose a major banjo concerto, for banjo and 80 piece symphony orchestra, Fleck must confront personal, interpersonal, and interdisciplinary obstacles before the sold-out premiere of his work with the Nashville Symphony a year later. Includes excerpts from the live telecast of the premiere, and performances by Béla's musical friends.
