Description
Singin' in the rain: Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are the darlings of the silent silver screen. Offscreen, Don is aided by his happy-go-lucky friend and piano accompanist, Cosmo Brown. Don tries to dodge Lina's romantic overtures. In the transition period from silent movies to talking pictures, Don happens to meet Kathy Selden while escaping from his fans and falls in love for her. The movie becomes a talking musical and Lina has a horrible voice. Cosmo and Don decides to dub her, using Kathy's voice instead. When the jealous Lina finds out, she doesn't want to share the credits with Kathy and tries to force the studio to use Kathy in the shadow to dub her in other productions. When Lina decides to talk sing to the audience, the truth arises.
Description
The band wagon: Tony Hunter is a famous singer/dancer/movie star who is feeling washed up. But his old friends Lily and Les Martin have an idea for a funny little Broadway show and Tony agrees to do it. Things begin to get out of hand when bigshot 'artistic' director/producer/star Jeffrey Cordova joins the production. He proclaims it's a modernistic Faust and insists on hiring a prima ballerina, Gabrielle Gerard, to star opposite Tony. It's hate at first sight. Her jealous choreographer isn't helping matters. The show looks doomed, but romance, an epiphany, and a triumphant opening are waiting in the wings.
