Publisher's Weekly Review
Helen, a hippo, is helping Spot with his first Easter egg hunt. They need to find six eggs, and so this lift-the-flap story becomes a counting game, in festive, streamer-bright hues. Because the baskets of ``found'' eggs almost never add up to the number uncovered so far, those seeking a strict counting book may have to go back and forth a couple of times to see what has transpired (the eggs are chocolate, so Spot and Helen are eating them along the way). But in spirit and style, this ingenuous offering is as close to the first Spot book as readers are likely to find in the series. Ages 1-6. (February) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved
Horn Book Review
Six Easter eggs are hidden for Spot and his friend Helen to find in this lift-the-flap book. The miniaturization of yet another book in the popular 'Where's Spot?' series is unnecessary -- Hill's light, colorful artwork is more successful in its original format.
