Christine Sanders (Carol Alt), American millionairess and mother of the grandson of a fanatical Emir (Omar Sharif), hires hard-bitten mercenary Tom Burton (Rutger Hauer) to return her son after the Emir has him kidnapped. Against the advice of her lawyer (Elliott Gould) and her friend Sal (Brett Halsey), Christine accompanies Tom and endures a series of hardships such as a surprise attack and a sandstorm.
