Kelly has a compulsive eating disorder which has him bedridden. When his single mom witnesses a faith healer perform a miracle, she hires him to lay hands on Kelly. The healing ritual works, and Kelly gains unexpected supernatural powers; any pain inflicted on him is instead felt by his aggressor. When his lifelong tormentors run Kelly over in their car, his powers transfer the injuries to the driver. Kelly's bullies blame him for their friend's death...
